Jan. 24 Meeting: Media training
with former WESH-TV reporter The Volusia/Flagler Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association will host a media training event Tuesday, Jan. 24, at Daytona State College. Former WESH-TV (NBC) reporter Shannon Fitzpatrick will lead the training sessions from 9 to 11 a.m. Breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. This meeting, which includes breakfast, is $15 for
students, $25 for FPRA members and $30 for non-members. You can register

Due
to space restrictions, walk-ins cannot be accepted.
Reservations after Jan. 20 will be $35 at the door. No-shows will
be billed. Some of the topics Fitzpatrick will cover include: “The Interview before the Interview," “First Impressions and Presentations,” “Controlling the Interview,” “Be Ready for the Ambush,” “The Escape,” “Sound Bites,” “Aim for the Heart” and “Timing is of the Essence."
This
professional development program is ideal for communications and
marketing professionals and other organization and company leaders, as
well as small business owners.
Florida Health Care Plans and WDSC TV-15 are sponsors of this event. Members socialize, speed network at December meeting In December, members and guests of the Volusia/Flagler Chapter of FPRA started the holiday season off with some speed networking at the Halifax River Yacht Club.
