Exclusive Behind-the-Scenes Tour of Jackie Robinson Ballpark Renovations
Marketing, advertising and public relations professionals will get an exclusive look inside one of Volusia County’s most significant sports facility projects during a special professional development event June 18 at historic Jackie Robinson Ballpark.
The Volusia/Flagler Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) and the American Advertising Federation (AAF) – Daytona Beach will present “Behind the Scenes: Daytona Tortugas Renovations at The Jack” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 18.
The event will feature presentations from Jim Jaworski, president and general manager of the Daytona Tortugas, and Logan LeCras, club services manager, who will discuss the organization’s marketing, public relations and fan engagement strategies, as well as the impact of the ongoing $32 million renovation project.
Attendees will enjoy lunch in the new Player Development Facility before touring the state-of-the-art, two-story complex. The facility includes player locker rooms, a training complex, batting cages, administrative offices, a boardroom, the Jackie Robinson Museum and the Daytona Beach Club, a premium event venue featuring suite-style accommodations and an outdoor terrace for both game-day experiences and private events.
Participants will also receive an update on improvements currently underway throughout Jackie Robinson Ballpark Stadium as part of the extensive renovation project designed to enhance the experience for players, fans and community partners.
The event offers a unique opportunity for communications, marketing and advertising professionals to gain insights into how a professional sports organization leverages branding, public relations, community engagement and facility development to strengthen its presence and connect with audiences.
Jackie Robinson Ballpark is located at the intersection of City Island Parkway and Orange Avenue in downtown Daytona Beach, across from the Volusia County Courthouse Annex.
Space is limited. Professionals interested in sports marketing, public relations, branding and community engagement are encouraged to attend.
