The Florida Public Relations Association Volusia/Flagler Chapter will offer attendees at its November luncheon an opportunity to learn about the growth of the Ladies Professional Golf Association and its new “Drive On” initiative from Kathy Milthorpe, CFO and long-time LPGA executive. The new program uses the LPGA’s leadership and branding platform to grow the LPGA’s global reach.
The “Drive On” campaign, the LPGA’s newest marketing initiative, represents women who continue to drive on through adversity to achieve their dreams. It concentrates on commending the LPGA’s nearly 70-year track record of “driving on” to break barriers and provide opportunities for women.
“Kathy has long been recognized as one of the most gifted communications experts in our community,” said Jeannette Duerr, APR, VP of Programs for the FPRA’s Volusia/Flagler Chapter. “We are so pleased that she will share this exciting new initiative with our members, students, and other attendees.”
“The most fulfilling part of my role is having the opportunity to support our members and work with such a diverse and talented team dedicated to making the LPGA a world-class sports organization,” added Milthorpe.
In addition to her nearly 30+ years in the sports industry, Milthorpe has served on a number of community and civic boards including Chair of the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Central Florida Sports Commission, United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties, and WORC, Inc. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Advent Health Memorial Foundation, Civic League, and Daytona Beach Community Foundation. She has received numerous awards for her dedication to the community.
